something bad is running rampant in our streets....

Ditty said so. Oh, how I love bad, bad, kills-my-brain-cells television. I can't help it. It calls my name. Beckons me to the couch and sucks me right into it's fabulous world of paradise hotels and top models and most smartest models and bad girls and real worlds and its road rules. And that's only the tip of my brain-cell-killing iceberg. It's the perfect background noise to my laptop clickety clack, clickety clack.

Back to updating the database with all the new WONDERFUL spring items that are slowly but surely getting completed for shipping in just three short weeks. I can't wait! Can you?

To Refinish or Not to Refinish...

My favorite design blog, design*sponge does a wonderful Before and After column that I wait with bated breath for each week. Recently they featured this redo of some really wonderful caned chairs that had been picked up on craigslist for a steal.

* I hope that it's alright that I snatched up that photo. I searched to see if they had a policy but couldn't find anything.*

They remind me of my own bins purchased chairs that I found last year for the bargain price of $20. Many of the commenters noted that they liked the Before as well and some preferred them in their original state. I've had this same dilemma. J really loves the original look of the yellow upholstery and finishing. I definitely appreciate it and have been conflicted as to whether to change them. I think they could be amazing with a fresh modern print and painted bright white. What do you think?

Luckily, I can think about it for awhile as I have another project already in progress. Remember these chairs? They're finally getting stripped down. I've got most of the old upholstery off and am slowly removing the staples tacks that an overzealous crafts person put in many, many years ago. I'm excited to see how these turn out! Come to think of it, I haven't decided if I am going to paint this set yet either. Most likely.
